Japanese people have an obsession with springing up museums out of nowhere for greater commercial presence. The Yebisu Beer Museum next to the Sapporo office is no exception. I visited the museum following TimeOut’s recommendation, and narrowly missed the last session for a tour around the museum.
Feeling slightly lost, I went into the gallery and viewed some very uninteresting history of the Yebisu beer. Due to some personal problems, I wasn’t in a very museum mood so I went immediately to where I could sample beer. A vending machine (expected) gives you a Yebisu coin for 400 yen. You can exchange the coin for a variety of their specialty beer or snacks. The bar closed 30 minutes after I sat down, making me more down than I already was. But I ain’t hating as long as there’s beer to be drunk.
