This is the true, sad version of My Name Is Earl, where salesman Tomoaki Sunada, a man who has been tied down to his work all his life, creates a list of things he wants to do after discovering he has terminal stomach cancer. Voting for another politcal party, telling his wife “I love you”, go on a family trip etc. His daughter films his last journey on the ending passage of his life. The documentary was shown at last month’s San Sebastian International Film Festival, where it was titled “Death of a Japanese Salesman.”
It certainly made me look at my life, and ask myself, are these the things I want to be doing with it.
