As the name suggests, Teddy’s Bigger Burger near the Meiji Jingumae station has the size and the quality to support it. The enthusiastic counter staff spoke to us in English and suggested a variety of combos on their English menu. I went for the classic burger in big size, with onion rings for 1520 yen. The other sizes are bigger and biggest.
The food took about 8 mins to arrive as their mission statement has stated that their goal was to make it worth the wait. I started gobbling down the onion rings, and they were amazing. They were very cooked and crisp, not the chunky kind. The burgers were messy with sauce flowing onto your hands with every single bite. Unlike Golden Brown or BROZERS’, you eat this like a true American glutton, without care for table manners in cultured Japan. The one wet wipe they provide won’t do you any good. You can taste the quality of the beef, that’s 100% ground chuck, hand-pattied and charbroiled to a medium perfection.
It was all in all a very satisfying and well put-together meal. I was glad I didn’t go for the bigger size or even the monstrous Tokyo Tower burger bound to put some width to your hips and money into your cardiologist pocket. I hope I made you hungry!
We can feed a third-world nation with that.
